Celebration of Laura’s Life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday June 2, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11:00am -1:00pm Saturday June 2, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL.

Laura Ann Leffler, 37, Willow Hill, IL passed away on Thursday May 24, 2018 at home.

She was born on January 1, 1981 in Marion, IL and was the daughter of Nelson Wayne Maynard and Cheryl Ann (England) Maynard. On April 24, 2010 she married Daniel Keith Leffler II.

Laura started her teaching career as a Fifth Grade Teacher in Tolono, IL for a year. She then became a teacher’s aid in the Literacy Program at Carl Sandburg Elementary School in Charleston, IL. Laura was a member of the First Christian Church in Oblong, IL. She was a member of the Johnson City, IL. High School Class of 1999; she graduated from John A. Logan Junior College and received her Bachelor’s Certificate from Eastern Illinois University. Laura was just one class short of getting her Master’s Degree when her health forced her to stop her education and teaching. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and she especially loved her dogs.

Laura is survived by her husband Daniel K. Leffler II of Willow Hill, IL; her father Nelson W. Maynard of Johnson City, IL; paternal grandmother Sally Maynard of Marion,IL; maternal grandparents Nolan and Doris England of Cape Girardeau, MO and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins and mother-in-law Anna Leffler of Willow Hill, IL.

Preceding her in death is her mother Cheryl A. Maynard; 2 infant children and her grandfather Alfred Maynard.
